The Freedom Programme consists of 11 weekly sessions and is open to any women who wishes to learn more about the reality of domestic violence and abuse. It is available to those who are affected by the impact of an abusive partner, be it a current or past relationship.
******As of November 2021 we will no longer be delivering the Freedom Programme. In it’s place we will be offering a new programme called VOICE Victims Of Intimate Coercive Experiences which has been co-created by Cathy Press, Rachel Williams, Clare Walker and Lyn Harris. The content of this new programme will give victims and survivors a greater level of understanding the dynamics of domestic abuse and coercive control and the impact of traumatic experiences. It also covers family court, law and latest legislation, grounding techniques and self care. We will be launching this new programme from January 2022 and it runs for 10 weeks. Please get in touch if you would like to join our new VOICE programme.******
Completing the programme will assist women to:
- Identify and understand the tactics, behaviours and beliefs of abusive partners, and in doing so recognise which of these beliefs they have shared.
- Identify the effect and impact of domestic violence and abuse on themselves and their children.
- Recognise potential future abusers.
- Gain self-esteem and the confidence to improve the quality of their lives.
